    Being a new university student is very though because we are starting a new chapter of life. A new journey is bound to begin, when we leave home for college. We as students are not really prepared for the challenges that might face us in the following days. In this such a situation, we, students would take this precious extra time to attempt and adapt to this new life. That is alright, as long as we’re finally comfortable with university life, but a much better would be prepare ourself, mentally and emotionally, for any problems we may have in college.

However, here are the reality that we have to deal with as a university student:

 

Adjusting to new life

     As a student we are experiencing the campus environment for the first time after spending the “merdeka” after SPM at home. There will be an adjustment period for us more so in the first scenario. When it comes to adapting to university life, the first year of university s often extra tough, so we can prepare to at least get a cultural shock because of how different the environment are compared to our ordinary place. Anyone who are from the interior of the village might feel uncomfortable about the culture at the city but, they need to get used to it because they will here for a couple of year.

 

 Finding new friends

      It’s hard to make friends to a new environment, but we can’t make a mistake of thinking that, in order to make new friends at university, we will have to fit n with people who have different interest from us. At the same time, we need to be ourself and find a new friend that we can clique together as the saying goes ‘quality over quantity’. Most of the students are from dissimilar place from around Malaysia, everyone needs to make a new friend positive for a long journey to come at the university.

 

 Time management

     Students don’t have the opportunity to plan and worry about their time, from having to study and live alone who are away from their family and doing the essential activities on their own. Some students sometimes do an extra job while still studying to earned extra pocket money for their living. Also, their assignment needs to be done by the time that given by the lecturer. This can affect the group member who wants the work to be done quickly but the person who doesn’t have the responsibility to complete the work last minutes.
